A snake coming out of a flower to bite its host. Or a flower blossoming from a venomous bite? Who was first? Much like the question about the chicken and the egg does our past define who we are or do we defy our past by the people we become?

This very personal illustration explores the relationship we have with time - with our past and our future. Being at a moment in life which prompts me to reexamine my childhood I wonder how much of the person I have become was formed by that, and how much control I have over mine and other people’s futures.
